First, all the romantic fantasy I see very popular on TikTok, with young protagonists and very dramatic goings-on, which is nothing like mine.

And also, I love a romantic subplot, but I’m not big on huge emotional moments so am never sure if it’s “right” to claim myself as part of the romance genre…
