just realized I never replied to this! Train places need soooo much labour of all sorts, there’d probably be a place for you if you wanted to! Someone early on told me “trains rarely have just one of anything”, if we’re refurbing a coach then 40 seats need to be removed, inspected, repaired, recovered, and reinstalled, 40 windows need their hardware unscrewed, blasted clean, coated or whatever, and reinstalled, etc.
