I posted the other day about not having too many issues with #ubiquiti gear, with the exception of my NVR dying because they used a shitty USB drive for the OS boot disk.
Well, this G4 Pro Doorbell will be my second RMA. Something about the internal battery, capacitor, or bridge rectifier is busted, and ambient temps at or below 40F make it worse. I don’t know what, I don’t know why, but it can’t sustain power when the bell rings (even if no chime is connected) when it shorts the AC leads 🤷♂️
