But they can, and if you’re going to get all eye rolly consider how dismissive it is to women that have been abused by other women. I remember Louise Moody on here talking about her clearly abusive but now deceased wife and she received many an eye roll because it didn’t fit with the “men bad women good” mantra. Some women are terribly abusive. A friend of mine is currently going through a dissolution and the things her wife have done to her are terrible and every bit as awful as what some men do.
Men are definitely more violent on the whole but if you’re going to treat romantic/sexual relationships like they’re some weird alien phenomenon then you have to acknowledge that there is a huge amount of women that are best avoided too.
