It will simply tell that you, @breadandwater (with your unique public key) here are the same as the one on the GitHub pages you will set it up. That’s a verification that only you can set, it is unique to you.
Many others might have theirs on GitHub pages too, just not on yours. I have the feeling you are not fully grasping the meaning of it. I also suck at explaining it. 😞
