Just a reminder, the 5 seconds rule doesn't work in reality. This has been the topic of multiple studies (one of them won the 2004 Ig Noble), and despite some differences, they agree that contamination occurs.
To hammer the point, here's one on Salmonella specifically (which also shows it doesn't matter how long ago the Salmonella got to the carpet):
