Another day, another #CRT #television fixed! This is the Sylvania 6420FF that I saved from the dump last weekend. Did some diagnostic work and figured it must be the flyback transformer, and I was correct! The replacement came in today and I spent about 45 minutes swapping it in.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how decent the picture quality is, these aren't super high end screens but I snagged it because it was the only smaller screen with something besides composite (S-Video in this case). I was able to get it up into the loft to test with the #snes and was also pleased to see the screen geometry is spot on.
I was a bit nervous because the replacement transformer wasn't the same model, but it works fine. As usual, I failed to document things as thoroughly as I should have, but enjoy the few pictures I did take!
Also, I will likely end up selling this set. If anyone in the Boulder/Denver area is interested, let me know!
