I'm vaguely looking for a cheap, very compact, (sub-12') device. Basically my requirements/preferences would be:<li>Less than 12'</li><li>Cheap</li><li>As light and compact as possible</li><li>Robust</li><li>Decent battery life</li><li>Decent keyboard</li><li>Ideally, decent screen quality</li><li>Can run a modern Linux distribution</li>

I don't care if it's low power or old, as long as it's good enough for basic web use. Actually, I'm mostly looking at the second hand market.

I had a quick look around and didn't find much anything that fits the bill. At least somewhat recent devices with that form factor tend to be Android tablets, or some sort of gadgety hybrid devices with a detachable keyboard. [@spaceluciolle](https://twoot.site/@spaceluciolle ) suggested getting an old 2015 11.6' Macbook Air, and as much as I dislike Apple, I can't seem to find anything better than this almost 10 years old model. Everything newer runs Android and looks like a toy, is too bulky, or is some obscure and expensive device for rich hackers. There are several nice 13' options (I was the happy owner of a Dell XPS13 for years) but nothing really smaller.

Would anyone have some other idea? Thanks!
