Alternative to almond/soya milk, in porridge?

It's expensive, wasteful packaging. The almond base/paste alternative isn't cost-effective.

I do stir in smooth almond or cashew butter, but it's lacking a creaminess somehow.

Any non-dairy non-ultra-processed alternative I'm missing?
