The NSA discovered Nakumoto's identity
The NSA was able to use "valid-invariant" stylometry to compare Satoshi's "known" writing to trillions of writing samples from people around the world. By taking Satoshi's texts and finding 50 common words, the NSA was able to split his text into 5,000 word chunks and analyze each to find the frequency of those 50 words. This results in a unique 50-digit ID for each piece.
The NSA then placed each of these numbers into a 50-dimensional space and flattened them onto a page using principal component analysis. The result is a "fingerprint" for each entry by Satoshi that can easily be compared to any other entry.
The NSA then took bulk emails and texts collected from their mass surveillance efforts. First through PRISM (legal access to Google and Yahoo user accounts) and then through MUSCULAR (where the NSA copies data streams onto fiber optic cables that carry information between Google, Yahoo, Amazon and 6 data centers which he does, conveys). He was able to put trillions of posts from more than a billion people on the same page as Satoshi's posts to find his true identity. This effort lasted less than a month and had a positive result.
NASA never revealed Nakamoto's identity
