I know this isn't how it works and it's not that simple, but whenever I learn something that disproves my past beliefs (such as learning that paras aren't bad and deserve pride, kids can consent, etc etc), it just seems so obvious and I get confused how everyone else is so behind. Like, I realize that sometimes it takes someone telling you this stuff to make your brain make the connection, but after that... You shouldn't have any problem doing a 180 on your beliefs now that you have new info?

Like, it genuinely baffles me that there are beings out there who like.... Get shown facts that prove them unequivocally wrong and they just double down instead of changing their beliefs??? Maybe I'm just too autistic and schizoid, but literally why would you choose to be wrong on purpose. Aren't you embarrassed? I feel like these beings deserve ridicule tbh.
