It hasn't even been a year since this post, and he's gone. It is immensely painful, even more so because it was completely preventable. Skateboarding, hanging onto a car, and done. Please tell your kids to wear a helmet.
This week in history my oldest graduated high school. Like many teens, he's making not the greatest decisions and missing a ton of opportunities. I have hope that he'll find success since his decisions haven't landed him in any serious trouble, but man is it hard watching all that unfold.
