I didn't find the lift-and-shift X% of on prem will turn into $Y argument convincing because that assumed that on-prem inefficiencies would be replicated into cloud without being consolidated in expectation. It's much easier to chase down inefficient infra in cloud than on-prem, so I thought this would mean you'd be looking at $Y/2 or $Y/4 or something.
But, in practice, it's the opposite and (even without productive growth), I think you're looking at 2*$Y or 4*$Y or more.
