Windows 11 (2021) retains the same kernel version number - 10.0 - as its predecessor, Windows 10 (2015). This marks the 1st time 2 releases of Windows NT have shared the same version number. Microsoft likely chose to do this to maintain app compatibility between Windows 10 & 11.
