Since the advent of agriculture there is the need to secure land, property, having some kind of border which means security of property. With that we had feudal lords, kings, the state etc leading us to what we have now toda, a complex and predatory state structure. Just advocating for open borders does not seem a solution without fixing the problem of property and security and the predator state.
