Hi... tangentially - when I was a kid, our neighbors & very close family friends had a camp in upstate NY for deaf and autistic children. (Back then, nobody really knew what autism was). It wasn't far from our summer house, so we would go to visit, play and also help out. We learned some basic sign language. The mom was the principal at the Lexington School for the Deaf, in NYC. I wonder if they knew about each other. Back then, specialty camps were likey rare.🩵
