Obviously it's nice that we no longer only give all the money and fame to a handful of white blokes.

But the fragmentation of our society really worries me.

I now find myself part of a community that threads together distant souls, most of which I'll never meet in real life. The same way the sky fills with stars on a clear night. But I'm not connected to my neighbours, or other people on the tram, or even the local cafe.

Certainly not remotely connected to most voters in my country.
