Another day, another exoplanet discovery. But this time, the planet is pretty unusual. Designated WASP-107 b, it has the size of Jupiter but only a tenth of its mass. Accurate measurements with JWST have revealed that the planet has an east-west asymmetry in its atmosphere, which means it has a big difference between the edges of its atmosphere. The planet is tidally locked to the star, and the atmosphere on one side is inflated compared to the other.
