I know you've been working on this for a long time. ActivityPub was an evolution of Semantic Inbox and added an Outbox. An issue is that it is quite old tech, that didnt stick to the standards properly and needlessly tied identity to a domain. That has made moving domain very hard, and also compromises things like your private key left on the server. The nostr protocol improves an aspect of this by making idenitty domain independent. So moving apps is seamless. Of course the user could have the best of both worlds using NIP-05, but folks tend to use one system or another. At least for now.
