It's all so befuddling. Dozens of my best posts in the fediverse can get or even thousands of engagements. On Bluesky, the exact same content is lucky to generate any at all. It's just uncanny. There is no explanation that I can think of that doesn't indicate some kind of massive culture rift, or set of rifts, between the two ecosystems.
