2/ VIRCAM was recently decommissioned as it will be soon replaced by 4MOST, an instrument that will take spectra of ~2400 objects spread over a wide area in one go, which means tens of millions of spectra over several years!

VIRCAM's data have a huge legacy value, and 4MOST will change so many fields! Before I switched to #scicomm I was lucky to serve as VIRCAM Instrument Scientist for a while, and also help a bit with 4MOST, so I'm happy about the past and excited for what's coming up!
