Based on the research I did (googlin' around), the reservoir was sought out by more and more black-faced spoonbills until conservation efforts resulted in the construction of two small island in the reservoir.

According to https://eaaflyway.net/saving-songdo-namdong-reservoir-saves-our-internationally-shared-black-faced-spoonbill-in-the-flyway/, one of these islands is home to about 150 nests, meaning that 10% of the global population breeds here!
