It is always socially acceptable to punch nazis. Like, even if you're at a wedding ceremony, if someone throws a nazi salute, you can punch them right then and there. It's one of the few etiquette absolutes.
Also, you needn't verify that they're a member of a 1930s political party. If they describe themselves as a nazi or sympathize with their goals, the original rule holds.
