I dont know what happens to the cash if both willingly quit though, idk if that ever happened. Does it revert to the party? Or do they split it, or does the last one take all, or is it set aside to be used in future elections (most likely) by these candidates??

I know if a candidate dies, the campaign comittee becomes a nonprofit and the committee members decide what to do with the money. But in a case of a living candidate idk....
