Gained a couple more iq points over the last few days, yes, that extra money could go to reduce national debt, just like the presidents of the past did…… but but but, it’s the government’s debt, the are basically taxing everyone to pay for their over spending.

So, if the US puts 25% tariffs on stuff from Canada and then Canada puts 25% tariffs on stuff from the US, while in the long term there is potential for a shift towards localisation of supply chains (if incentivised), surely in the short term, both countries are just collecting more taxes, reducing their citizens’ quality of life and driving up costs (so an inflationary tax).
Canadians have been ruined for years, this could be devastating. Surely Trudeau knew this was a Trump bargaining technique, the Colombian president understood what the deal was, so why play this pissing game with peoples’ ability to put food on the table?
