I'm not saying the government should intervene is the market but as long as it is, it is preferable if the government stops subsiding things like Corn Syrup, and adopts European like regulations where things like Red-40 shouldn't be produced.

People assume that things like Fruit Punch flavors advertised to kids are safe for human consumption but aren't informed enough to make good decisions.

I don't think everyone should need a medical doctor's license of information just to shop at the grocery store.

And at the very least, even if we allow companies to produce, and sell bad things like Red-40 they should have warnings like cancer warnings, or Nutriscore.

And of course I know about the corporate lobbying that would manipulate government to change, or stop this of course but still.

Consumers without information can't consume properly in a market place.

I agree individuals should take more steps to be informed consumers but I feel like there should be a baseline where consumers can get that information relatively quick, and easy without having to work at the company to know the products safety.
