That said, there is a lot of psychology behind design that can be applied right away. It’s not a guess - it’s understanding how humans process information and which levers to pull to get them to behave in a desired way (because they often don’t).
You may upset the occasional grumpy dev who wants to see everything at once but you can’t make everyone happy - that’s why there are power user products that exist specifically for those needs. Or options to enable power user behavior.

And nobody gets it right the first time. Designers don’t play god. We listen and make changes. It’s an iterative process. Or at least it’s supposed to be.
The exact opposite is building what you think people need and slapping it all on the same page for them. Which is fine if you are your own end user and understand the needs of people who will use the same product you want to use … but if you’re building for an entirely different audience you have to talk to people, get their feedback, measure and analyze. You can’t simply throw anything at them.
