Calvinism is the conclusion that Creation and everything in it serves God's plan, and nothing in it can "upset" or surprise God, who is absolute and sovereign, existing above/outside of time and space, and is all knowing.
To me, I have a harder time imagining that God is sitting in suspense, not knowing how Man will choose to act, and even being upset if we foil His plan in the moment, needing to react to Man to sustain His plan.
Easier for me to accept a realm 'Creation', which Men reside, that serves God's plan even as it's creatures are free to act within it.
