Brilliant video. The description on micro-organisms is actually what I've thought, just never realised how relevant it is to our skin, the principles absolutely are bang on correct and relevant to the surface of our body.

I've heard of opportunistic microbes that cause most skin infections, its when the balance of microbes are out of whack, exactly how you described it in the video. And so microbes that cause infections, their populations are too high. So microbes that are perceived as bad, aren't necessarily bad, they only bad if their numbers aren't kept in check. Continuous washing with soap, sanitisers etc. Constantly wiping out the balance and messing things up.

I used to make my own compost and learned about microbes. Exact same principles, its the reason our soils are depleted, and becoming difficult to grow food, because diversity of microbes in soil being destroyed, and then vegetables that need good microbes in soil, are not available, because they've been killed by pesticides, herbicides, chemicals etc etc.
