If the IRS had local offices that we could visit to get questions answered...
If the IRS phone numbers would actually answer...
If there was a way to tell them that my mother died in 2021 and that her financial accounts were empty...
maybe they would stop sending me letters saying that they were going to seize my property or income to pay the taxes that she failed to pay.
But they don't. And my CPA has been unable to get anyone on the phone.
So I'll have to do what I haven't wanted to do. Ask for help from my member of Congress.
I wish we had a competent government. But, if wishes were fishes...
