HanShan on Nostr: refreshing ...

refreshing

Oh, I know, I've been a Bitcoin maximalist for years, and I'm well aware of the privacy capabilities of Bitcoin's Silent Payments, Coinjoin, Cashu, Lightning, Liquid Network, etc., but these are not inherent to Bitcoin, but exist as off-chain, layer-2 and sidechain solutions. I have to admit that I've seen Monero try harder over the years to minimise and even neutralize trade-offs like these, because other than First Mover Advantage and hence Network Effect, Bitcoin doesn't seem to have much on-chain baggage. Also, despite being a staunch pro-deflation Austro-libertarian, I'm beginning to realise that Monero's tail emission is a very solid solution to Bitcoin's post-2140 (no incentive based) uncertainty. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I will start watching your video in a moment. In conclusion, I do not want you to misunderstand me on two points: 1) I consider it essential as a rational being to maintain my scepticism, and 2) apart from your detailed answer, I am eagerly awaiting the answer of Max Hillebrand, whom I like and respect a lot, who is the person I actually asked the question to.
