Mary wanted to tell me a long story about how she is not good with her computer and how one time last month she wanted to buy a thing and how she couldn't see the place to put in her credit card. A friend told her to "turn off Ghostery" but she only knew how to turn it totally off, not site-specifically and then she couldn't turn it back ON. I stepped her through this. One part of what I do is interrupting what I call the "incompetence" narrative people like to tell. "What is the question here?"
