Did you know that the US military once massacred up to 300 Native Americans in South Dakota? 133 years ago today on 29 December 1890 the US Calvary troops entered a camp where the Lakota people lived at Wounded Knee Creek in an attempt to disarm them, which ended in a bloodbath. By the time the shooting stopped a few hours later, there were bodies strewn everywhere including those of babies and women.
