This is always going to be my go-to Smiths album. It was the first album of theirs I’d ever heard, swiping a cassette version from the music collection of my older sister’s then boyfriend, around 1992.
I must have listened to that tape 3 or 4 times in a row, mostly taken by Johnny Marr’s guitar.
I went backwards from there, and bought everything else on CD after that, & fell in love.
