I think all stories have many layers, just like creators have many reasons and goals in creating their art. Much of the woke “content” is not art, and the goals behind hit include representation for its sake.
I don’t enjoy art that feels forced. Or that seems to have subtle agenda’s - at the same time, subtle agenda’s can be rewarding if done artfully.
