I'm not a fan of the #patent system, but my experience with the #trademark system is not so great. It seems both systems are set up to work well only if everyone agrees to play by the rules. But with lower cost competitor who's attitude is "if we figure out how to build it then it's fair game to sell it," I question the value of $1000 (?) for a trademark per puzzle name.
