Also, Christianity has done this a million times and so has Judaism. I'm an episcopalian and we believe in women and gay and trans priests and do gay marriages and believe in science and evolution and so forth and the liberal and progressive Jewish congregations, rabbis, and synagogues. So I call bullshit. Jesus was a schism of Judaism, protestantism was a schism of Roman Catholicism, etc etc etc... I call extreme bullshit. But I also understand your argument as well.
