Not even a marigold actually, tho I understand why it earned that name. Baileya multiradiata. Native to dry, hot regions in the southwest US. Really quite something after a rain. Bursts into bloom.
I love dahlias, but too hot to grow them here. I bet gomphrena would grow with a little love. What cultivars are you liking?
