When in Morroco I wanted to entry a mosque but they were accepting only Muslims during the Holy month and no tourists. I insisted since my connection with the sacred goes beyond identity matters. They asked, do you believe in Mohammed as Profet? I answered - Of course. This was enough for them.
Then I reflected about it and how we've come to oppose these sacred images like we oppose political parties or football teams. I do believe in Jesus and I do believe in Mohammed for each Profet represents different spiritual aspects in the evolution of human consciousness.
