A few gay characters and a minor one who uses they/them pronouns. The aliens are intersex, but that is mostly treated as incidental. The third book is 100 years later, and events have transpired that enable me to address issues of transgenderism, pronouns, bigotry and the like. Not going to add spoilers, but it is definitely a challenge being both inclusive, sensitive, and a good storyteller.
