maybe i'm just misinformed, because every distro i have installed has a seemingly completely different audio setup with some new silly name, and all of them have about the same number of weird problems, so i've never really learnt what any of them are since i don't really have any kind of respect for any of them. but that's genuinely what it seemed like it wanted to do. i can't imagine what fucked up problems it would've caused if i'd typed 'y'
