Anyway. A prairie garden is great, but prairie in a lot of places is an early successional state for land destined to become forest without regular fire or mowing.
I’ve learned that replacing lawn is only less work than lawn if done with trees and shade-adapted understory plants.
Gotta say, though. The soil underneath is now amazing.
