What role do other writers have in your writing life?
Motivation. Inspiration. Camaraderie.
The writers in my life, most of whom I interact with only from my desktop, keep me going. My groups motivate me to get something in front of them to critique. They provide insight about elements of the craft, and help me to observe my writing through other eyes.
Writing is not a process I can explain to anyone who doesn't write. I need other writers, to celebrate and to commiserate.
