I can't imagine modern America building something like Mount Rushmore today. Whatever you think of the men depicted, they were important to shaping our country and the monument itself was a feat of construction. Now our culture is more likely to produce a heap of trash that's shaped like two niggers kissing. I guess it's a blessing that people so unimaginative and banal can't build something big that will outlive them.
