Hell yes...you need to have a passphrase/password...for if one already created those 24 words in a QR scan-code-form and someone other than yourself managed to get their hands on those and start to scan it on their phone...you'll be screwed.At least if one set up a passphrase or a password after perpetrators scan the QR code...they can't get in coz those passphrase or password will act like your last line of defense.
