because not everyone wants to know whats going on with the pc or the software as long as they get the work done. It's same as people who don't care a lot about privacy and we can't nexpect everyone to follow this. Half the people don't know what linux is and that is fine. Linux is free for all and should be used if people want to and not because someone else wants them to. It's the same reason why people use windows xp and 7 to this day. If it works, don't mess with it.
