When we bought our house there were a dozen+ gardens of various types. I had no clue how enormous the upkeep would be. I've since realized that the retired couple who owned the house had 2 green thumbs & nearly endless time to work in the gardens.
I've slowly over the years replaced several with grass or perennials, decorative stone or mulch.
Have to be honest with myself that my green thumb is more like a green pinky fingernail. 😆
