Ya for sure! Echo chamber is boomerspeak for not consciously training the algo deliberately. The internet at large was thrown into being shown things that the algo wants us to see on all platforms without any kind of training on how to use the platforms for our own benefit. With a monetary incentive to sell as many ads as possible driving the platform keeping us 'engaged'.
On nostr we don't have algos yet so we are all here by deliberate choice and that's simply a community. We will eventually have our communities in here branch out with different ideas (may already be happening), but we will not have algos pushed on us without our knowledge or approval. After all, why would any of us choose to use an algo that prioritizes addiction and conflict vs. being interesting and benefiting us like a set of tools for accomplishing what we want in life. I never hear anyone say, gee, wish my phone was even more addictive so I could spend more time on the phone and buy more stuff.
