Yup. "Early bird" discounts, and "Night owl" deals help move the product and motivate customers to adjust their schedules (when they can). Jacking the price when they're already standing in line is, uh... capitalism at its purest.
I think the real problem here is that there is no point of entry for new competitors in this marketplace. Capitalist theory falls apart in that situation.
