It’s in the UK we say ‘dustbin’ and ‘lorry’.. I’ve never heard them put together like that though. What do we call those vehicles.. ? We’d always just say, ‘It’s the bin-men!’ Or possibly ‘ It was a bin-lorry’
It’s true the language is so old fashioned and funny when you break it down.
